Belief is difficult. Sometimes we need to see to believe. Jesus was gentle with Thomas and his doubts. As the church has declared this the Year of the Eucharist, all parishioners are invited to participate in a book study, Reason to Believe: A personal Story by Ron Tesoriero. Ron Tesoriero, Lawyer and documentary filmmaker, is a first-hand witness to Eucharistic miracles and took a leading role in the investigation of these stories. These extraordinary claims are scientifically examined, and the results are life changing. From the almost forgotten God given phenomenon of Fatima to scientific evidence that the flesh and blood of Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, this work of Ron Tesoriero is based on fact. Ron shares how he was personally affected by the story of these miracles and gives us reason to believe in a God of love and mercy; a God who exists, hears our prayers and even intervenes in our lives. A God who now waits for the love of His children.
Parishioners are asked to acquire the book, read it, and then gather to share thoughts and hear the discussion on Thursday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John in Blairstown. The book is available online at https://reasontobelieve.com.au/product-category/reason-to-believe/, but if you are struggling to get the book, please contact Jean Ohlen at 319-350-4256.
